Wednesday, Jan 1-skate  ski on own (60 min) 
Thursday, Jan 2- (Back at School) CLASSIC Practice at Sleepy Hollow  
training colors for Thursday's practice   - please wax skate skis during a free block on Thursday or Friday see waxing info here
Friday, Jan 3- Waxing day at CVU (ski in meadow) Classic and Skate skis need to be waxed for races. see waxing info here  BRING OUTDOOR RUNNING, INDOOR WORKOUT CLOTHES                 Also, BKL practice if wanting to volunteer
Saturday, Jan 4- Classic Race at Sleepy Hollow- No Bus- Parents we need help timing
Sunday, Jan 5- easy Level 1 ski on your own
Monday, Jan 6- Skate Race at Cochran's; 2:00 dismissal 2:15 bus to Cochran's - drop off only (you need your own ride home from Cochran's or arrange carpool- see coach if having trouble)

Thursday, Dec 26- Practice at Sleepy Hollow at 10:00
Friday, Dec 27- Black team race at Mt Hor, Red and White teams CLASSIC SKI at Sleepy Hollow with Eli
Saturday, Dec 28- Ski on own; Looking for a race start- Santa's Revenge- 5k skate at Sleepy Hollow 9:00am start $5
Sunday, Dec 29- Ski on own


Week 3- Dec 16- 20

Uniforms- we need to hand them out before Tuesday!
Seniors and Juniors- please stop by my office (167) during, between, or after W3 and W4.
Sophomores and Freshmen- those racing on Tuesday pick up during callback, those not racing will pick up on Wednesday

Monday- Classic ski at Sleepy Hollow. Non racers will do intervals; racers will do a light ski. If you don’t have the ability to wax at home or during a free block, you can stay at CVU to wax for Tuesday’s race. Wax will be CH6 (blue). Those who have not paid SH or handed in an emergency form will have to stay at CVU.    Drivers NEEDED

Tuesday- bus leaves for Craftsbury at 12:30 – running order attached below. Those not racing ski at Sleepy Hollow (details will be on web page) I expect the bus to return to CVU @6:30ish- bring lots of dry clothes, food, and water.

Wednesday- CHANGE TO CLASSIC 
Drivers NEEDED

Thursday- CHANGE TO SKATE. Drivers NEEDED

Friday- choice day! You choose skate or classic- game day in the meadow and Yankee Swap at Seamus’ house. Drivers NEEDED

Saturday and Sunday – NENSA races at Craftsbury- coaches will be there – more details to come.
                                - Dec 21 race has been moved to Dec 23

Monday- Dec 23 – Skate Race at Sleepy Hollow- skiers please fill out google doc regarding what races you are attending that week .

Practices during vacation- we will have practice during vacation (except on Dec 25 and Jan 1) most likely these will be in the morning at Sleepy Hollow (although we may get one practice in at Cochran’s) More info coming during the week. All skiers who are home are expected to be at practice, no exceptions.


Week Two- Dec 9-13

Monday, Dec 9-  stay at CVU and let the snow come down! We are going to stay on campus for a few reasons: weather, naming captains and wax teams, and to get a longer interval training time in. Please bring running shoes and skate ski equipment. We will be outside.

If we don’t get enough snow to open more trails at Sleepy Hollow:
Tuesday- White and Black teams train at Sleepy Hollow- skate drills for technique

                                     Preload concentration - V1 skate technique
                                     V1 one pole skate drill
                                     One ski glide
            - Red team trains at CVU - classic hill bounding
Wednesday- Red team trains at Sleepy Hollow (will need lots of parents drivers) - skate drills
                                             For those sitting back while skating - this is what we are referring to
                                             see above
                         - White and Black teams at CVU - classic hill bounding, get classic skis ready
Thursday- White and black teams- classic skiing at Sleepy Hollow
                    - Red team at CVU distance run and classic ski waxing
Friday- whole team ski at Sleepy Hollow, level 1 skate ski with games in meadow



If we get significant snow at Sleepy Hollow:
Tuesday- White and Black teams - level 2 distance skate ski
                - red team skate drills in meadow
Wednesday- White and Black teams- classic ski- get used to it again
                        - Red team level 2 distance skate ski
Thursday- White and Black - short speed  intervals on classic skis
                   - red team- short speed intervals on skate skis
Friday- Level 1 skate ski for everyone with games in the meadow
