2023-2024 Race Schedule
2022-23 Practice Schedule - check email for weekly newsletter Week 1: Our season begins on Monday, Nov 27th after school at CVU. Please come prepared to run outside. We will meet on the CVU track at 3:30 and immediately go for a run to take advantage of daylight hours. Once dark, we will meet inside for a strength workout and team discussion- please bring dry shoes and clothes for inside. Tuesday, Nov 28th- we will still be on campus and running. Plan on an adventure run with lots of fun challenges. Again, plan to be outside first (meet on track at 3:30) then inside. Starting Wednesday we would like to be at Sleepy Hollow. This means all pass forms and money need to be in. I'm also attaching a team roster so families can make car pools. We will meet in the bay garage at Sleepy Hollow. Bring both skate equipment and running shoes. Wednesday- Practice will start at 3:45 - meet in the bay garage in parking lot area. Experienced skiers: If you're skis need wax on them, you can do that first then either run or ski. New Skiers- we will teach you how to wax your skis, then go for run or, if time, teach you how to ski. ALL SKIERS should bring skate skis, skate poles, boots, AND running shoes for the rest of the week. We will be outside for the whole practice- bring warm clothes, especially for after training. Practice will end at 5:15 Wednesday Morning Strength Option - meet King in the fitness center by 7:45am. You will have time to change for 1st block classes. Thursday and Friday- Goal is to have everyone on snow either learning to skate ski or reintroducing their bodies to skiing. Everything else the same as above. Friday Morning Strength Option - meet King in the fitness center by 7:45am. You will have time to change for 1st block classes. Saturday Option- 9am practice at Sleepy Hollow. More details on this day to coming. Our thought is to have designated time for new skiers to continue to learn and separate time for returning skiers. This will all be based on snow conditions and size of the loop.
