Wax with CH 7 Scrape and Brush well Classic Skis:
Clean classic skis well- no kick wax on base, sidewalls, or tips and tails Iron on CH 7 to tips and tails scrape and brush well Skate Skis: Wax skis with CH 7 Scrape and Brush well Be sure all skis and poles being used in the pursuit are labeled with your name and CVU Clean Classic skis of all kick wax- from base, sidewalls, and top-
Iron on CH 7 to tips and tails Scrape well and brush well Have coaches apply kick wax before you put your skis away Jan 10th- Classic Race!
Clean your skis well- remove all kick wax! Tips and Tails- CH 5, if we don't have CH 5: CH 4 with a little CH 6 added Again scrape groove while wax is warm, let skis dry Warm up wax with one pass of iron, but not to point of being liquid- then scrape. Brush well Jan 12th skate race CH 7 on skate skis Brush well Thursday is going to be cold, but actually warming up through the afternoon. Please bring lots of warm clothes- layer up!
- Wax skate skis with CH 4 (green) with a little CH 3 (white powder) mixed in while CH 4 is wet. just a little cold powder (CH 3) sprinkled in- don't use too much! - Scrape groove before wax dries. - Let skis dry well- at least 20 min - Take the iron and go down the ski to warm the wax up - but not so much that it becomes liquid- just enough to make it scrape easier. - Scrape well, Brush well with white brush and then blue brush Reminder that all Tour de Chittenden races are non-flouro |
